UNION COLLEGE:
Undergraduate Research and Ethics across the Curriculum

Founded in 1795, Union, the first college to be chartered by the Board of Regents of the State of New York, is an independent liberal arts college. Its name reflects the sense of community felt by members of various groups instrumental in Union's founding. The college's mission statement cites undergraduate research as an activity that Union College intends to promote. Union has also embarked upon an ethics across the curriculum initiative introducing "everyday ethics" into every subject that Union teaches. Hosting NUBC would facilitate both of these objectives and Union College is pleased to offer its campus as well as financial and organizational support to host NUBC in 2008.
