Ethics Across the Curriculum

		ETHICS BOWL TEAM NEWS
		Ethics Bowl Team to Compete in National Championship Competition A team of students from Union College will compete in the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl National Championship taking place at the annual meeting of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics in Cincinnati, OH on February 22, 2007. Team members include: William Fitzsimons ('08), Meagan Keenan ('09), Samantha Miller ('07), Nordo Nissi ('07), and Heidy Sanchez ('07). The team is sponsored by the Philosophy Department and advised by Lecturer Michael Mathias. The team qualified for the National Championship Competition by placing 3rd in a field of 12 teams at the Northeast Region Ethics Bowl held at Williams College on November 11, 2006. Other schools participating in the regional event included: Dartmouth, Franklin Pierce, Marist, and Williams. In 2006, the ethics bowl team from Union placed 2nd at the National Championship, losing a close final round match to the United States Military Academy at West Point.
